When one or more teeth are missing, one method of replacement is with a fixed bridge. A fixed bridge is made by preparing (shaping) the teeth on either side of the missing tooth or teeth as is done for crowns (SEE CROWNS). A bridge is several crowns hooked together anchored by the teeth on either side of the missing tooth, or teeth.
