Records, including facial photos, digital scans of existing teeth, and a CBCT scan, are integrated into design software. A plan is developed with the dentist and lab, and a surgical kit is fabricated, along with an initial set of teeth.
The surgery itself consists of the removal of all teeth on the upper and/or lower arch, followed by bone reduction to provide adequate clearance for the prosthetic teeth. Dental implants are inserted into pre-determined locations into the jawbone. An immediate temporary full-arch prosthetic set of teeth is then attached to the precisely located implants. The patient will wear the temporary teeth for 1-5 months while healing is occurring. Ideally, you never go without teeth.
While the implants are healing, the dentist will work closely with you and a dental laboratory to fabricate your final custom-made prosthetic. This new set of teeth is designed to match your unique smile and facial structure, ensuring a seamless and natural appearance. Once healing is complete, you return to have the temporary teeth removed and replaced with a final One-Day-Smile.
